UNE is the only Organization for Standardization in Spain and was designated as such by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness before the European Commission. In this respect, UNE is the Spanish representative at ISO/IEC international organizations and in CEN/CENELEC European organizations, and also the ETSI national standardization organization.
